The Scottish Genealogy Society – the main stockist of published (and unpublished) gravestone inscriptions from all around Scotland

The Royal Commission for the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) – which holds records of the built environment

Capital Collections – some of the collection of images, new and old, amassed by the Libraries of the City of Edinburgh Council

Edinburgh World Heritage Trust – in charge of the Edinburgh Historic Graveyards Project (comprising St Cuthbert’s, Canongate, Greyfriars’, Old Calton and New Calton)

Glasgow City of Sculpture – a database with biographical entries of prominent sculptors, whose work extends beyond the boundaries of Glasgow

Dean Village Association – organises tours of Dean Cemetery, another of Cousin’s grounds

The Water Of Leith Conservation Trust – the first river charity in Scotland, which works to conserve and enhance the Water of Leith, its heritage and wildlife

The Moray Burial Ground Research Group – a volunteer group which researches and records, in painstaking detail both in drawings and photographs, the historic stones (often buried!) in Moray’s kirkyards

The Old Edinburgh Club – the Edinburgh-wide local history society which encourages interest in all aspects of the city’s history, development, buildings and inhabitants, through talks, visits and publications
